Hello, my name is Hiyam and I’m a local coordinator for foreign
exchange students in Chicago and it’s surrounding areas. I am
asking for your help in finding my students host families. I would
really appreciate any help you can offer in locating families who would be
willing to take in a student while he/she are studying in the US for one or
two semesters. I have a female student from Thailand who earned a
scholarship from the state department. I need to find her a host family if
she is to come and use the scholarship. Please contact me and let me know

Meshaya is a 17 year old girl from Thailand. She is Muslim and attends services weekly. She enjoys drama, singing, photography and playing the guitar and piano. She plays badminton and hopes to learn soccer or basketball while in the US. Her favorite class is computer studies and she hopes to study communications or hotel management.

Thai Healing Alliance International (THAI) Gathering- Sunday, Jan. 11th at 12:30 pm in Chicago

This is a free event for all students and practitioners of traditional Thai massage.

Join THAI on Sunday, January 11th at 12:30 pm for a gathering and round table discussion with Council members Bob Haddad (NC), Hillary Hilliard (CO) and Kath Rutland (Alberta, Canada).

The focus of the gathering is to discuss the state of affairs in traditional Thai massage in the USA and around the world, to get feedback regarding your professional practice, and to share details about Thailand study, scholarship programs, and international Thai massage workshops and events. This will be a great opportunity to meet the Council members of THAI, and to discuss shared goals and values in our professional practice.

Snacks and beverages will be served.

Location: It will be held at Allyu Spa located at 600 W. Chicago Avenue (at Larrabee). For a map and directions, go to http://allyuspa.com. You may park on the street or there is validated parking in a garage on Larrabee, just north of Chicago Ave. If you do use the parking garage, bring the ticket into Allyu and the front desk staff will validate your parking. It may cost anywhere from $4-$8. The entrance to Allyu is directly across the street from the parking garage. Allyu’s phone number is 312-755-1313.
